This Friday Largo do Arouche in downtown São Paulo was the stage for another Trans Pride March of the City of São Paulo. This is the sixth edition of the event, which started in 2018 and coincides with LGBTQIA+ Pride Month. This year, the theme of the march was “TRANSformation is in March.”

“The importance of the march is colossal in this political moment in Brazil, with consecutive years of immense violence against trans people. Brazil is the country that kills the most trans people in the world, and these individuals do not have access to work, education, and are excluded from society. So, the march is a cry to ‘look at the T in the LGBTQIA+ acronym’,” said Pri Bertucci, who founded the Trans Pride March and identifies as a non-binary and non-white trans person.

The video shows the 6th edition of the Trans Pride March of São Paulo - 2023, the biggest event of transvestites, binary and non-binary transgender people, in Latin America.
