This energetic market vendor amuses his customers by performing wacky dances while peeling coconuts.

Greengrocer Sorawat Lueng-ngamkhum, 51, delights shoppers and other sellers as he cuts, shaves, and peels his coconuts while bopping along to the lively music on his boombox.

Wearing a boy scout hat, football jersey, and mismatched striped knee-high socks, Sorawat bobs his head and shimmies to the beat, playfully tossing the coconuts around like basketballs.

The bizarre performances have helped him attract more customers at his stall at Building 14 of the Sri Muang Market in Ratchaburi, Thailand.

He said: 'I am originally from Kanchaburi province, where I owned a barbershop and met my wife. When we moved to Ratchaburi, I began selling fruit and vegetables that I grew myself or bought from neighbours.'

Today, he takes his sidecar motorcycle - loaded with homegrown limes, Thai basil, holy basil, makrut limes, bananas, and coconuts - to the market, which also serves as his 'dance stage'.

Sorawat said his bizarre attire has helped him stand out from the sea of vendors.

He said: 'The scout hat is meant to symbolise my honesty. I often wear colourful armbands and sometimes even mismatched shoes.

'My fellow vendors will occasionally join in when I dance. The gimmick has helped me gain more customers. They tell me they will buy if I put on a show for them.

'I don't earn much from my job, but I feel rewarded that I can bring happiness to my customers.'
