The sound of gunshots started the process of arresting methamphetamine-type drug dealers by the Central Sulawesi Regional Police at a Clove plantation in Salumpaga Village, North Tolitoli District, Tolitoli Regency.

A total of 15 kilograms of methamphetamine filled into tea packets along with four residents who served as couriers were arrested.

The methamphetamine was taken by a courier using a boat from Tawau, Malaysia and wanted to be marketed to the Central Sulawesi region.

Director of Narcotics Research at the Central Sulawesi Regional Police, Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police, Dasmin Ginting, said that the methamphetamine distribution was carried out by the Malaysia-Indonesia international network.

“The four residents who were arrested in this case only served as couriers. We are still pursuing the methamphetamine owners in coordination with the police in Malaysia," said Dasmin.

The four residents arrested in this case are Indonesian citizens.
