UK Covid-19 Inquiry: Families hold pictures of loved ones who died, outside hearing centre

The UK Covid-19 Inquiry will begin hearing evidence today (June 13) at 10 am. The investigation, which is expected to last years and cost more than £100 million, was set up by former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson in 2022.

This footage shows families holding pictures of their loved ones they lost due to the infectious disease, outside the hearing centre at London's Dorland House.

227,321 COVID-19 deaths were recorded in the UK according to official government figures.
