STORYLINE:

Hunchun, a border city in northeast China's Jilin Province, has seen a marked increase in tourist arrivals.

As the weather is getting warmer, a surging number of Russian tourists have come to Hunchun.

"I really love Hunchun, a beautiful city and a border city between China and Russia. I have visited here many times, and the scenery is stunning. During our trips, we had dinners at restaurants serving cuisine of China's Korean ethnic group, and the food was fantastic."

"I'm Alexei from Vladivostok, Russia. I come to Hunchun for tourism and shopping. I took a walk with my friends as the weather is quite good. We also had a meal by the lake, and it was very enjoyable."

According to local entry-exit border inspection station, since Hunchun Port resumed passenger clearances on Jan 8, the city has received over 30,000 inbound travelers this year, with more than 25,000 of them being Russians.
