Two residential buildings that were triggered by fireworks exploded, killing three and injuring multiple in northern China.

Video filmed in Tianjin City on June 13 shows massive flames bursting out of a residential building and firefighters rescuing on site.

At approximately 20:10 on June 13, a devastating explosion rocked two residential buildings in Tianjin’s Hedong District. Tragically, the explosion resulted in the loss of three lives, while several individuals sustained injuries, all of which are reported to be minor.

Prompt response teams from the Public Security Bureau, Emergency Services, Fire Department, and Health Commission swiftly arrived at the scene, launching rescue and evacuation efforts. Their primary objective is to provide aid and ensure the safety of the affected individuals.

Recent developments indicate that the suspected perpetrator, a 46-year-old man named Ma has been apprehended. Following investigations by the authorities, it has been revealed that fireworks were used in the commission of the crime.

The ongoing probe, along with the treatment of the injured and subsequent cleanup, remains underway.
