A Sonoran Mountain kingsnake slowly climbed up a wall using the lines between the bricks - resembling the iconic "Snake" phone game.

Footage shows the colourful serpent with red, white, and black bands gliding along the corners of the rectangular blocks in Arizona's Coronado National Memorial.

The creature made a mesmerising spectacle in the national park as caretakers noted it looked like the classic Nokia game "Snake" searching for a way out of a maze.

The US National Park Service tweeted the video out on June 13 and said: ‘If it runs into itself, game over. This Sonoran Mountain kingsnake (Lampropeltis pyromelana) has only one game: 'Snake.' And it's pretty good at it.

‘Here it shows off those skills, hey, no cheating, on the walls of the visitor centre at Coronado National Monument in Arizona.'

The Sonoran Mountain Kingsnake is a medium-sized snake with red, white, and black bands. It is non-venomous, but it's a mimic of the Coral Snake, which helps it to avoid predators.
