Pod of dolphins play and feed in the blue waters of the River Tyne
Dolphins play and feed in the River Tyne where the river joins the North Sea between north and south shields pier just before sunset.
There was a dispersed pod of 10 or more rounding up and eating the mackerel.
Sun seekers on the pier were treated to sights of the dolphins breaching from the water.
The drone footage was shot by Steven Lomas who said "It was very special to see and the great weather made it all the better"
