Helicopter takes off 'without rotor blades moving' in bizarre optical illusion
A helicopter slowly rose with its blades appearing to be stationary in this bizarre amusing illusion.
Footage shows the aircraft rising into the air, but bizarrely, its rotor looked like it wasn't spinning in Phichit province, Thailand, on April 17.
Onlooker Wiroj Jekawong said he was filming using his iPhone 12 when he noticed the camera trick.
He said: ‘It was because of my device's settings. I thought there was something wrong with my camera but the blades were actually moving.'
The camera frame rate matched the helicopter rotor causing the illusion of the blades not moving.
