A pet parrot got trapped in a jar after squeezing inside for sunflower seeds in China.

The hilarious video was filmed in Beijing on May 25.

The colourful bird spotted a jar chock-full of sunflower seeds, carefully placed on a table by its owner. Unable to resist, the parrot dived headfirst into the glass container, aiming to feast on the crunchy delights within.

To the parrot's astonishment and the owner's amusement, however, the glass jar proved to be a more formidable trap than expected. The bird found itself stuck in the jar, its wings flapping wildly and futilely against the smooth walls of the glass prison.

Unable to contain their laughter at the comic spectacle, the owner eventually came to the rescue. After a few chuckles, they carefully extricated the mischievous bird from its sunflower seed jail, much to the parrot's relief.

Curiosity got the better of the parrot, prompting it to squeeze into the jar in an attempt to reach the delicious treats.

However, to its surprise, the parrot found itself unable to exit the jar, flapping its little legs in futile attempts to break free.

The owner, amused by the sight, burst into laughter before eventually helping the parrot escape from its glass prison.
