Italian lecturer Natan Colombo, who has lived in China for 10 years, said that he wants to be a bridge of exchange between the two countries.

"I'm Dr. Natan Colombo. I come from Italy. For the past 10 years, I have been living, studying and working in China.
I think Hainan is dynamic because of the fast development and economic growth. Then Hainan has a wonderful climate and Hainan people are very friendly. Hainan is very attractive, not only for companies and enterprises but also for tourists.
I love my job and I have always loved working in an academic environment. I am committed to facilitating the cooperation between China and Italy from an educational perspective, by conducting collaboratory short-term and long-term academic programs and research projects with Chinese and Italian universities, supporting the exchange of students and faculty members between China and Italy, and promoting conferences, seminars, and lectures on issues of mutual interest.
Last June, I helped the organization of the signature ceremony of a memorandum of understanding between Hainan Tropical Ocean University of China and Carlo Cattaneo University of Italy. I think that I may play the role of a bridge between these two great countries.
As for the future, I am confident that the Sino-Italian relationship will be reinforced by bilateral agreements and commercial plans because China is indeed a strategic commercial partner for Italy and vice versa. Moreover, I strongly believe that the cooperation between China and Italy is also very significant from an educational and cultural perspective."
