Gas leak explosion leaves woman with severe burns in China
A kitchen gas leak led to a devastating explosion that left a woman critically injured in southern China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Ganzhou in Jiangxi Province on June 10 shows a woman calling the name of her dog to searching for it in a yard before entering the kitchen.
After she switched on the lights, it triggered an immediate and powerful explosion. The force of the blast propelled her out of the kitchen, screaming in agony.
Fortunately, she managed to find her way to the door, averting an even worse outcome.
The woman’s son, Mr Guo, revealed that his mother suffered severe burns covering approximately 60% of her body. The burns are classified as severe, and she is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital.
However, the medical expenses are skyrocketing, with the daily cost exceeding 10,000 yuan (£1,100).
The video was provided by local media with permission.
