STORYLINE:

A total of 21 international students with Northwest A&F University in northwest China's Shaanxi Province had a field trip to learn about agricultural technologies before their graduation.

During the trip, they visited a grape plantation base to learn about grape-planting and wine-making techniques.

They also toured a modern agricultural park to see how science and technology can power the development of agriculture and help lift people out of poverty.

Many say the two-day trip is inspiring.

"We see modern agricultural technology. And I will transfer this experience to my country to take it. And how can we fight poverty in rural areas?
And I see a lot of changes, how the rural areas change because of this project. And I'm sure that in the coming days, in the coming years, the rural areas here in China will be more advanced and will be more civilized."

"We see how the Chinese government helps the farmers here develop their industry, which is really good. I also come from an agricultural country. I think we should protect agriculture and help farmers develop agriculture."

The university started to organize such field trips in 2021.
