"When we come to a book fair like Beijing, we want to introduce the new titles that we'll be publishing this year, but also next year and the year after. We have strong cooperation with a number of publishers in China, who buy the copyrights from us and translate our books into Chinese."

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): GIANPAOLO BRUNO, Director of the Beijing Office of the Italian Trade Agency
"We would like to deploy all the Italian, different faces of culture, because we think it is very important for our two countries to keep on understanding each other, learning from each other. So we think culture promotion through books is a very powerful way of consolidating our friendship, wonderful friendship and developing (friendship) even further for the long term."

SOUNDBITE 3 (Chinese): LI BING, Director of Foreign Cooperation Department, People's Publishing House
"I have not only met some old friends but also some new potential business partners. It's quite fruitful for us to be here. We are optimistic and looking forward to future international cooperation."
