A grove of ancient hornbeam trees have been spotted in Xindu District of Xingtai City, north China's Hebei Province.
The ancient woods are located in Taihang Mountains, with a total area of about 10 hectares.
According to local forestry protection department, the ancient trees are about 200 years old, and the discovery of them is important for the study of the change of the tree varieties in Taihang Mountains.
