Chinese mother injured in blast as child's hydrogen balloon sets hairdryer ablaze
A mother suffered severe burns in a shock explosion after her child threw a hydrogen balloon at a switched-on hairdryer in China.
CCTV footage filmed in the city of Jieyang in Guangdong Province on June 2 shows a child playfully throwing a hydrogen-filled balloon towards the hairdryer, igniting a sudden blast.
The flames then engulfed the mother's body in an instant, sending the child into a state of panic. The father, alarmed by the explosive sound and cries, quickly rushed out of the room to check on the situation.
The father scooped up the child, calming the scared little one, while inspecting for any potential burns. The child's mother later confirmed that while the child was shaken from the event, they were physically unharmed. She, however, suffered severe burns.
