Indian Sand artist created beautiful Two Hundred fifty coconut installed in the sand art of Ratha Yatra

On the occasion of Ratha Yatra Renowned sand artist Padma Shri Sudarsan Pattnaik has created a sand sculpture with installation of 250 coconut at Puri beach on Monday 19.

Pattnaik has created a 6ft high sand sculpture of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra and three chariots with installation of about  hundreds of coconut .In his sculpture Pattnaik depict the story of Dasia bauri, A devotee of Mahaprabhu Jagannath. Dasia bauri who was a non brahmin and not allowed to Sri Mandiar but when he offered coconut , Mahaprabhu accepted it by himself.  

Pattnaik has used about 5 tons of sand in the sculpture.  Students of his sand art school joined hand with him to complete this sculpture. Every year Sudarsan has been creating different sand sculptures on Ratha Yatra like 3D sand art, Balaram Das's bali Ratha etc.
