Dozens of footballing icons were out in force to unveil a new museum in Madrid dedicated to legends of the beautiful game.

Former greats such as Lothar Matthaus, Luis Figo, Gary Lineker, and Mario Alberto Kempes were seen at the event opening the seven-storey museum named Legends, The Home of Football.

Located in Puerta del Sol, the building contains shirts from all eras, immersive experiences, a Metaverse area, and a restaurant.

Lothar Matthaus, Luis Figo, Gary Lineker, Mario Alberto Kempes, Pedrag Mijatovic, Javier Zanetti, Hugo Sánchez,Paolo Futre, Claudio Paul Caniggia and the Spaniards David Villa and Morientes, as well as, of course, Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga and Marcelo Ordás, President of Legends, walked the red carpet and participated in a press conference and colloquium.


The "legends" museum is a 7-storey football temple. 4200 m2 housing the greatest relics that bear witness to the passion for football. With the support of LALIGA and FIFA, UEFA, CONMEBOL and the IOC, the greatest football experience on the planet has been created: LEGENDS.

Shirts from all eras and from different fotball clubs, interactive experiences and much more in the new experience for lovers of this sport that can now be enjoyed in the heart of Madrid.
