A cute pet dog bit his leash while walking around a shopping mall before being carried up an escalator.

Footage shows the three-year-old Golden Retriever Kobe walking foot traffic amid shoppers in Laguna province, the Philippines, on May 30.

The furry mall-goer headed to the escalator but stopped to allow his owner so he could lift him up.

Pet owner Josephine Alonzo said the pooch knew which spots were unsafe for him.

She said: ‘He is ecstatic to run free. He has been trained to always be off leash, and every time we visit the mall, he behaves himself and leaves no messes.

‘The security staff there don't even require him to wear a diaper to enter. He truly loves people and is a gentle giant.'
