This is the hilarious moment a bungling trainee cop plunged into a pool after slipping on a diving board during a survival seminar in the Philippines.

The terrified woman stood paralysed with fear on the plank over the pool in Batangas province on May 28 as the instructor secured her life vest.

While trying to sit on the edge of the board, the nervous cadet slipped and slammed clumsily into the 15-foot pool below.

Another trainee John Kenneth Garcia said: 'It was our water survival training. She was probably nervous because the water was so deep and she didn't know how to swim. She didn't expect the coach to slightly push her forward, so she slipped. Luckily, she's alright now.'

The woman emerged without any injuries.
