A kindergarten teacher removed a gecko stuck in a glue flytrap before releasing it into the garden.

Supassorn Mukdamuang found the lizard caught in a sticky situation while walking along the street in Udon Thani province, Thailand on June 6.

She quickly picked up the trap and slowly pulled the creature off. Footage shows the off-duty teacher saving the animal.

The good Samaritan then released the gecko into the bushes before it scampered away.

She said: ‘I felt sorry for the lizard. I know whoever owned the trap didn't want to hurt the gecko.'

The flytrap was disposed off properly while the gecko was unhurt from the incident.
