A skater with no legs wows locals with his amazing board tricks.

Anton John Ferrer, 18, had a rare birth defect that caused him to be born with missing limbs in Catanduanes province, the Philippines.

He used a skateboard to travel from his home to school until his best friend took him to a local skate park.

After meeting skaters who taught him how to ride, Anton has now won several awards in local competitions.

Footage shows Anton gliding on the board across the town square. He leapt up and slid across a rail while his friend cheered for him.

He said: ‘My friend brought me to the park. They asked me if I could do tricks. I tried, and I liked it.'

Anton recently won the championship in a competition organised by a local sports club.

His proud friend Rinan Ybanez said: ‘He is advanced. We have been practising for a while and learn faster than us.'
