Lincolnshire police have launched a murder investigation after the death of a man and child near to Anwick. Driver Ashley Henry, 35, and passenger Oria Henry, 2, from Leicester were travelling along Main Road in a Blue Nissan Qashqai when the incident took place at around 2.45pm on Sunday (June 18).

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

A police investigation into the incident continues but after careful consideration police have confirmed that they have begun a murder investigation into the death of two-year-old Oria.

Lincolnshire police said in a statement - "We are not looking for anyone else in connection with this incident but cannot provide further details at this time. Our thoughts remain with the family of those who lost their lives in this collision and specialist officers are supporting them at this difficult time."

"If you have information that may help us in our enquiries, contact the force control room on 101 quoting incident number 264 of 18 June."
