STORYLINE:
The logistics center of the Hangzhou Asian Games was officially opened on Wednesday in Xiaoshan District of Hangzhou, east China's Zhejiang Province.
The center is a storage facility for sports equipment, technical equipment, logistics supplies, and other materials for the games.
It also provides all kinds of logistics services such as the distribution, delivery, and retrieval of goods, customs clearance coordination, and general planning of goods distribution.
The center consists of two conjoined intelligent logistics warehouses, which will respectively coordinate the storage and allocation of goods from home and abroad.
The logistics center adopts green technologies, and uses eco-friendly materials in many of its equipment and tools, like the pallets and boxes.
A photovoltaic power generation installation built on its roof can fully meet the power demand of the logistics center, reducing 1,032 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions every year.
