The 2023 Ulan Bator Grand Slam of judo opened at the Steppe Arena sports complex in Ulan Bator, Mongolia's capital, on Friday.
A total of 344 judokas from 44 countries and regions are vying for qualifying points for the 2024 Paris Olympic Games at the tournament, which has a total prize fund of 154,000 euros.
Co-organized by the Mongolian Judo Association, the International Judo Federation, and the municipal government of Ulan Bator, the tournament runs until Sunday.
