Our Alaskan Malamute Sojou is 5.5 yrs old she is very closely related to her wolf ancestors. In April she finished her season and now is playing with the idea that she is expecting puppies by attempting to dig herself a wolf den. This is the second wolf den construction site in our garden but this time she dug herself into a pickle. She spent almost an hour underneath the deck when I decided it was time to get her out. Our other two Alaskan Malamutes Fish and Dotty were concerned for her safety. Calling her did not work so as a last incentive I offered her some homemade liver treats knowing that Sojou is ruled by her belly. Thankfully we managed to rescue her as the food bride was too much for her to ignore.
