A car engulfed in flames moments after a heroic man rescued the unconscious driver in northern China.

Video filmed in the city of Xingtai in Hebei Province on June 24 shows smokes billowing from the bottom of a black car that stopped on a road greenery.

A man in a black jacket repeatedly knocked on the car window and shouted, "Roll down the glass!" Seeing no response from the motorist inside the car, the man fetched a brick from the roadside and forcefully smashed the passenger-side window, opening the door and pulling the driver out of the vehicle.

Shortly afterward, the car caught fire.

According to reports, smokes came out of the car and the motorist fainted after the vehicle crashed into the greenery.

Firefighters arrived at the scene shortly thereafter and extinguished the fire, but the car was mostly destroyed.

The cause of the incident is currently under investigation.

目击市民拍摄的视频显示，一辆黑色轿车撞上了路边的绿化带，车辆底部开始冒烟，情况十分危急。此时，一位身着黑色上衣的男子不停敲打车窗，并朝车内喊道：“玻璃放下来！”该男子见车内人员没有反应，又从路边拿来一块砖头，用力将副驾驶侧的车窗玻璃砸碎，打开车门后将司机从车内拖了出来，随后车子起了大火。
一位知情者介绍，没多久消防人员赶到现场将火扑灭，但车子基本上报废了。
目前事故具体原因还在调查中。
