Mother's joyful outburst as son achieves impressive high score in China’s university entrance exam
A thrilled mother erupted in joy as her son scored remarkably high in China's prestigious university entrance exam.
Video filmed in the city of Hengshui in Hebei Province on June 24 shows an excited mother named Liu screaming out loudly after discovering that her son named Wei Ziran had scored a stunning 694 points in the university entrance exam.
She then held her son in a tight and emotional embrace. The father leaned in excitedly to peek at the phone screen, all the while casting proud glances at his son.
Liu, bursting with maternal pride, said that her son, who specialised in science, had truly outdone himself. Overwhelmed by the exceptional score, Liu couldn't hold back her joy, screaming and embracing her son tightly as tears of happiness welled up.
Liu noted that Wei had indeed faced his fair share of struggles, admitting that he wasn't particularly gifted compared to some of his peers. However, his consistent dedication and tireless effort led him to this achievement.
As a mother, Liu said she would have been satisfied regardless of the score. But her son's exceptional performance meant he could now choose freely between China's top institutions - Tsinghua University or Peking University.
