Major landslides create panic amongst locals in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India

In a tragic incident, a major landslide in mountains led to panic amongst locals in northern India's Himachal Pradesh.
The incident took place on Chandigarh-Manali highway near 7 Mile, Mandi district on June 26.
The visuals of the incident showed a major landslide that led to falling of boulders and debris on the road blocking the Chandigarh-Manali national highway. The landslide led to stranding of tourists and a number of vehicles also got stuck.
The heavy rainfalls led to incessant landslides leading to traffic jams. There are no further reports on any incident of injury or casualties because of the landslide.
