STORYLINE:

The 14th Annual Meeting of the New Champions, also known as the Summer Davos, opened in north China's Tianjin Municipality on Tuesday.

Participants from business, government, international organizations and academia are gathering in the northern Chinese city for the event themed "Entrepreneurship: The Driving Force of the Global Economy."

Many participants express their confidence in the future of the Chinese economy, and believe that China's recovery will create more opportunities for entrepreneurs around the world and contribute to global recovery.

"Compared with the last few months or last few years, we see some industries recover very strongly. For instance, travel. Some of our businesses have already benefited from this strong recovery. We are looking for many other businesses or many other opportunities. For instance, energy storage. It has very strong growth. It has a double-digit growth. So companies like us, how we could take these opportunities, use our technologies to serve our customers here in China and also the rest of the world. Personally, I'm still very optimistic about China. In one way, we see many industries already recover, and in another way, there's new demand popping up in China."
