This is the dramatic moment Thai police raided a karaoke bar with underage sex workers in Thailand.

Footage shows authorities storming through the shady-looking bar and turning off the music before questioning an employee manning the counter in Bangkok in the early hours of Wednesday morning, June 28.

The lights were turned on as officers began searching the building, which had squalid private rooms for customers to use with the young girls. There were a number of used condoms also discovered.

Two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, were rescued from among 14 female workers who were allegedly providing sex services to local men for around 1,000 Baht (22 GBP) a time.

Department of Provincial Administration Inspector General Ron Ronn Thipsiri said: ‘We received a tip-off that there were establishments operating as karaoke bars with employees under 18 who were being sexually exploited.

‘The alleged victims will undergo interviews and assessments. They will also be provided with support at Children and Family Homes to aid in their mental recovery.'

The bar was decorated with plastic flowers and fairy lights with bright purple, blue, and green bulbs. The employees wearing skimpy clothing sat on red faux-leather chairs by the karaoke area with customers.

During the search of the top floor, authorities discovered mattresses and pillows spread along the ground, which also served as a rest area for workers. Authorities also came across a private room equipped with a karaoke machine and a brown leather sofa.

It was also found that the bar operated without the necessary entertainment license.

The establishment was charged with various offences, including human trafficking (sexual exploitation of children), establishing an entertainment venue without a license, and inducing children to behave inappropriately.

It also allegedly violated the Notification of the National Council for Peace and Order No. 22/2558 (2015), which pertains to the prevention of illegal racing and the regulation of entertainment venues.
