This footage was filmed and produced 28 June 2023.
One person was rescued after he was trapped in an island due to a rise in water level in central India's Madhya Pradesh.
This rescue took place on June 28 after he trapped a day ago in Kharpadia village of Rumal gram panchayat under Ugli police station of the Seoni district. Along with him, four others had gotten trapped but the one rescued, identified as Shambhu, was saved first as he had climbed up a tree which facilitated the process.
This footage shows a helicopter being used to conduct the rescue operation. The chopper flew above as one of the trapped individuals was pulled up. A huge crowd had gathered at the spot. According to a report, the helicopter arrived at the spot around 2:45 pm after obtaining a clearance from Nagpur. The chopper first rescued Shambhu, who had climbed up a tree. He was reportedly sent to a hospital for treatment.
The remainder of the four people are also safe as per a report and they would be rescued after the helicopter's fuel is refilled. All five of these people, which included a woman and four men, had gone to graze their cattle near a place called Satdhara when due to rain, the water level rose and they got trapped. Many rivers drains of the area have overflowed due to heavy rainfall.
