Tiny marmoset monkey hugs owner’s face while being combed
A tiny marmoset monkey hugged his owner's face while being combed.
Footage shows the ten-month-old primate Pook Pik clinging onto Teerayut Preecha during the grooming session in their home in Bangkok, Thailand on May 5.
Pook Pik's older monkey friend of the same species, one-year-old Somchai, sat below him.
He took the hair brush from Teerayut and rubbed it on Somchai's fur.
Teerayut said: ‘They are small but they have big, clever brains. It is always fun spending time with them.'
Marmosets are the smallest species of monkey in the world, with an average body length of 12 to 16 inches only. They have long tails that are about as long as their bodies, and they use their tails for balance and climbing. They also have sharp claws on all of their fingers, which they use to grip branches.
