A minibus loaded with liquefied gas cylinders caught fire, leading to a powerful explosion in China.

The video was filmed in the city of Hengyang in Hunan Province on June 28.

The blaze spread quickly to a nearby supermarket, the Ju Long supermarket.

The minibus had been parked outside the Ju Long Supermarket, situated on Heng Qi West Road. As the fire from the van intensified, it led to the gas cylinders onboard exploding, causing a rapidly escalating situation.

Hengyang City's emergency stability centre was alerted promptly. First responders, traffic officials, police, firefighters, traffic police, and urban management all rushed to the scene to bring the situation under control. Their quick response was commendable, and by 18:20, they had successfully extinguished the blaze.

The minibus driver suffered minor burns. Luckily, no other casualties or injuries were reported. The fire damage was significant, impacting around 80 square metres of the Ju Long Supermarket.

By 18:40, the situation was under control, and the road was reopened for public use.

Currently, investigations into the cause of the fire are still underway.
