A famed violinist in Hong Kong has highlighted the opportunities offered by the Chinese mainland for artists from the city.

SOUNDBITE (Chinese): YAO JUE, Hong Kong violinist
"Through music and performances that showcase Chinese culture, we hope that more young artists in Hong Kong will get to know China's development path. Young artists in Hong Kong also hope for communicating more with mainland audiences through their talents, bringing Hong Kong's unique blend of Chinese and Western culture to mainland audiences.
The orchestra consists of some of the most outstanding young artists in Hong Kong. I take them on concert tours in the mainland so that they can personally experience the support from our motherland, which enables them to have more opportunities for career development. Hong Kong is a place that receives support from the motherland while at the same time embracing the world. They have personally experienced it, so every time they are eager to come to the mainland to take part in performance tours and develop their careers here.
Looking back to the 26 years of development since Hong Kong's return to the motherland, we are truly grateful, grateful for having such opportunities. Many Hong Kong residents are very happy about anniversaries of Hong Kong's return to the motherland, and are actively participating in the celebrations."
