Ashes chaos: environmental activists disrupt play at Lord's Cricket Ground"
During the second Ashes cricket test between England and Australia at Lord's cricket ground in London, UK, on June 28th, 2023, chaos ensued when two protesters from the environmental group "Just Stop Oil" stormed onto the field. The activists attempted to spread orange powder on the pitch but were quickly thwarted by players from both teams. England's wicketkeeper, Jonny Bairstow, took down one protester and carried them approximately 50 meters before handing them over to security who carried hi away as captured by @chaguejones. Meanwhile, Australia's David Warner and England's captain, Ben Stokes, managed to corral the other protester. Play was disrupted for a brief period before the situation was brought under control.
