A violent clash broke out at Gazprom's at Gazprom’s Kovykta field in Russia's East Siberia last month involving around 300 migrants workers.

The incident occurred on the evening of June 23, when according to local sources a dispute over a queue at the canteen escalated into a full-blown brawl between citizens of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Nine individuals were left hospitalised, believed to be those who most actively took part in the altercation.

The incident drew the attention of local authorities, who have launched an investigation into the matter, Newsflare sources said.

Unable to resolve the argument on the spot, the Kyrgyzstanis proceeded to confront the Tajiks near their wagons, resulting in a chaotic and intense fight.
