June was the hottest month on record and also the most thundery period in modern times with over nine days in a row of intense thunderstorms and massive energy the likes of which have been unusual for UK and Ireland. I chased storms all across the country for seven days and ended up having the best season of my life. This is a compilation video showcasing these storms in their various guises, from dark bases, to rotation, to lightning, and to the incredible sunlit updraught plumes (thunderheads) which were the best I've ever seen in over twenty years of chasing. There's also a funnel cloud and rare wall cloud, some of these structures are exceptional and more like the caliber of storms seen abroad. We had CAPE values between 1000 and 3000 j/kg which is very rare. Footage is a combination of drone video, DSLR time lapse and phone clips. I hope you enjoy this highlight video.
