An origami artist made this impressive Voltes V model using old cardboard.

Sarjit Singh said he worked on the anime character's action figure for seven months in his home in Pasay City, the Philippines.

Footage shows Sarjit's hands prepping the workstation for his amazing papercraft. He used a sharp cutter and sliced the carefully measured parts, which he glued together.

Sarjit said: ‘I started working on the Voltes V Legacy project last November, and it took me seven months to complete it.

‘The abundance of intricate details required meticulous attention, so I took my time to ensure that every element was accurately captured.'

Sarjit added he used cardboard as a medium because it is easily available compared to expensive polymer clay.

He said: ‘I have been doing paper art for at least five years. I like to use cardboard because it is cost-effective.'

Aside from the Voltes V action figure, Sarjit, who goes by the artist name Sarjigami, creates awesome origami pieces depicting dragons, flowers, and animals such as rhinoceros.

Voltes V is a Japanese mecha anime television series about a giant robot defending the Earth against alien invaders.
