Among the few remaining elephants in Sri Lanka, Agbo the elephant was found in a very critical condition by wildlife officials in Tirappane in the first half of last month. It was in Tirappane area due to a burning stump on Agbo's left leg. The wildlife officers who acted immediately called Anuradhapura Pandaulagama wildlife doctors and started treatment. The elephant, who was behaving very restlessly, started medical treatment, putting the life of the officials at risk. Tirappane Wildlife Officers, who were always concerned about elephants, conducted treatment with Pandulagama doctors at Ulagalla area of Tirappane for the 6th time last night. The doctors say that some of the elephants are recovering.
