Hungry wild monkey rummages through hotel bin and eats food scarps
A hungry wild monkey rummaged through a hotel bin and ate food scraps.
The macaque climbed up to the second floor of the building and removed garbage can covers in Chonburi province, Thailand, on May 26.
It found discarded pieces of bread and feasted on them before chasing away a tourist who found it.
Footage shows the primate eating snacks along the hallway balcony of a hotel before scaring an onlooker and climbing up the rail.
Tourist Ekkapong said: ‘I felt sorry for the monkey because it looked hungry. But I was scared at the same time because it was aggressive and would do what it took to have food.'
Ekkapong left and reported the incident to the hotel manager while the monkey had gone away.
