STORYLINE:

A Turkish expert said that the 23rd meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) has focused on building a common future for the international community via mutual cooperation.

Selcuk Colakoglu, director of the Ankara-based Turkish Center for Asia-Pacific Studies, made the remarks after the meeting of the SCO was held on Tuesday.

"There is a focus on mutual cooperation and win-win cooperation and also increasing the interactions for peaceful developments in international space. Here, there is an objection to international interference or external interference for a country's domestic politics in general. But also peaceful settlement is the key to any kind of dispute, including regional, international, and bilateral disputes."

The expert said the SCO is a good example of regional cooperation.
