STORYLINE:
According to the China Railway Harbin Group Co., Ltd., northeast China's ports of Manzhouli and Suifenhe on the China-Russia border have seen over 2,700 China-Europe freight train trips in the first six months of this year.
During the period, the two ports handled 2,754 China-Europe freight train trips with 293,000 TEUs of goods, up 6.5 percent and 18.2 percent year on year, respectively.
The China-Europe freight train service has three main corridors. The Suifenhe and Manzhouli ports are on the eastern corridor, which mainly focuses on the import and export of goods between east China, south China and northeast China, and European countries.
Currently, there are more than 20 China-Europe freight train routes running through Manzhouli and Suifenhe ports, carrying daily necessities and industrial machinery from Guangzhou, Suzhou, and other cities across China to numerous European countries.
