This footage was filmed and produced 6 July 2023.

In July 2023, a traffic officer in the USA came to the rescue of a stranded turtle on Foothills Parkway in Boulder, Colorado.

The video captures the moment when a woman in a red SUV noticed the struggling turtle and pulled over to help. However, before she could reach the reptile, traffic officer Coon arrived on his motorbike, expressing gratitude to the woman.

The footage shows Officer Coon carefully lifting the turtle and placing it on the roadside, allowing it to escape his grip, thinking it was in danger. After successfully releasing the turtle to safety, Officer Coon dusts off his hands.

The Boulder Police Department shared the video, using the incident as a reminder for responsible driving and awareness of wildlife on the roads.
