This curious pet dog needed rescuing after it poked its head through a bamboo fish trap and became trapped.

U-dong, a four-month-old Labrador-Golden Retriever mix, came across the cylindrical fish snare while rummaging through the family's storage area at their home in the Bang Bon district of Bangkok, Thailand.

It stuck its head through the contraption, but its neck was caught on the noose inside.

Dog owner Thaweewat filmed as residents liberated confused U-dong from its bamboo prison on May 25. They gently pulled the trap loose, holding the puppy's neck to keep it still.

U-dong was later seen happily reuniting with its other dog friends.

Thaweewat said: 'U-dong is still quite young so it examines everything out of curiosity. We will keep a closer eye on it so it doesn't get into trouble.'
