A woman has been left terrified, as she was stalked by her Tinder match after she refused to go on a date with him.

Madeline Salvadore matched with a man on Tinder and began messaging online, chatting back and forth and growing "excited" to meet him in person.

However, after a week of talking, Madeline says things started getting "weird" which led to her cancelling the date.

The 22-year-old shared her horror story on TikTok (@maddysalvadore), wracking up more than 375,000 views.

"I met him through Tinder and when we first matched and first started talking, I was looking forward to meeting him," the nanny from New Jersey, US, told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

"But, after a couple of days maybe even a week, things started to take a weird turn which led me to no longer look forward to meeting him."

In her video, she continued: "We talked for like three days and the conversation was good so I was like you know what, 'here's my number, let’s text over here'.

"About four or five days into talking he started asking when I was going to plan our date, and I found that a little weird but I put that to the side and let it slide.

"[Some time later] he said to me 'just to let you know the first time we meet, we will be sleeping together and I don't use protection so I will be finishing inside of you'.

"I was like what? We got into a fight over it and he said that is how he marks his territory, that was when I ghosted him."

After the horrific ordeal, Madeline thought she’d seen the last of her awful Tinder match, but then the unthinkable happened.

She said: "We never went on a date, but I was out with my friends one night and posted where I was on my Snapchat story, not thinking anything of it because that’s what people do on Snapchat.

"However, because of my story, he took it upon himself to show up [after he saw it].

"I was dancing with two of my friends and looked to my right and saw the guy from Tinder.”

Appearing at the club, the man from Tinder stood staring at Madeline.

"I had a couple of drinks in me and thought might as well be nice so I went up to him and said hi.

"He said 'I wanted to meet you so bad so I just decided to show up' which is in my opinion is really creepy.

"Just because I posted where I was doesn’t mean it’s an open invite especially after I told him I didn’t see things going anywhere with him and practically ghosted him.

"But, we starting dancing together and he started to feel my chest and my bottom which I never consented too.

"I told him don’t touch me and tried to walk away but he wouldn’t stop following me.

"One of my friends saw how uncomfortable I was and went up to him and told him he had to leave or else he would call security which made him leave.

"I stayed a little while longer to enjoy the rest of my night with my friends."

It won't come as a surprise to hear that Madeline never spoke to the man again and blocked him straight away.

After sharing what had happened to her online, her video received more than 57,500 likes from shocked viewers.

In the video, Madeline recalls the incident whilst doing her makeup explaining how the man followed her to the bar - leaving users with their 'jaws dropped'.

Rosie said: "When I say my jaw DROPPED."

Claire added: "'Took initiative and came' THATS NOT TAKING INITIATIVE THATS FULLY STALKING." [sic]

"Oh no baby i’m so sorry that happened to you love," commented Dulce.

Molly said: "I’m sorry what now? I cannot… Staying single forever."

Manda added: "My ovaries are shrivelling listening to this. I’m sorry this happened to you girl."

Jeremy said: "Do men really say this!! If you meet these men please just RUN."

Since the encounter, Madeline says she has been too scared to date - however, she hopes that others can learn from what happened to her.

She added: "It made me feel extremely uncomfortable and violated, and honestly made me scared to date and meet men from dating apps.

"I would like to say that if you’re going to post on your Snapchat, Instagram or anywhere else your location, make sure you know who’s viewing it."
