Dozens of wild monkeys took over streets in a Thai city.

Footage shows the primates running across the empty alleys that looked like a ghost town in Lopburi province, Thailand, on June 11.

Some of the macaques climbed up buildings and perched on top of parked cars in the concrete jungle.

Driver Katsakorn Padupmuk who passed by the area, said: ‘Lopburi is historical but now it is dirty because of the monkeys.

‘It is so sad to see many stores closing because of the monkey problem. Something must be done about it.'
