Hirogawa-cho, a town located in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, was engulfed in a catastrophe as torrential rains caused devastating floods and triggered deadly landslides. The region experienced its heaviest rainfall ever recorded, leading to authorities issuing the highest-level warning for heavy rain in parts of Fukuoka and Oita prefectures. Captured in a video by @suppaman002 on July 10th, 2023, the streets of Hirogawa-cho were filled with dirty, fast-flowing water, showcasing the magnitude of the disaster. Tragically, at least one person lost their life, and three individuals remain missing. While the water has receded considerably, the scars of this calamity remain hauntingly visible. Thousands of residents were ordered to evacuate their homes, highlighting the urgency and severity of the situation.
