Police were forced to stop traffic on a busy highway to escort - a gaggle of geese.

A video, recorded on the officer's bodycam, shows heavy traffic on Interstate-77 near Canton, Ohio as a gaggle of geese attempt the dangerous crossing.

The state trooper can be see pulling over on the hard shoulder after noticing the geese along the interstate median.

The officer is forced to intervene as vehicles can be seen driving in the direction of the birds at speed.

He can heard shouting

"go, go, go" as he runs to the assist the birds. "

Chaos then ensues as the officer can be seen running back and forth to bring the birds to safety.

Traffic was stopped momentarily to allow the birds to cross and resumed shortly after.
