After three days of searching, tourists who drowned on Blessing Beach Teluk Dalam, South Nias were finally found by the Nias search and rescue team (Basarnas) along with other elements, Wednesday (12/7/2023).

The drowning tourist on Blessing Beach is known as William Fandi Lature, 12 years old. Nias SAR rescuers along with other elements found the victim dead.

Head of Basarnas Nias Octavianto, "That they had found the body of the victim, approximately 9.47 kilometers from the crime scene".

"The drowning victim is a tourist from Teluk Dalam Blessing Beach, which we handed over to the family after search and rescue the team with other elements," said Octavianto in Gunungsitoli City.

Octavianto explained again, based on the agreement of the Gunungan SAR team and the family, they would no longer carry out autopsies on the bodies of the victims.

"The family together with the Nias Basarnas took the victim's body to the funeral home in Pasir Putih, Teluk Dalam District, South Nias (Nisel)," said Octavianto.

As previously reported, two tourists drowned at Teluk Dalam Blessing Beach, South Nias Regency, North Sumatra Province, Sunday (9/7/2023).

"One of the victims survived when he reached the shoreline, and another drowned in the sea waves," said Octavianto on his occasion at the time.

This information from one of the family members of the victim, Dewi Sartika, reported a sea accident that endangered humans.

"We immediately responded and deployed a team to conduct search and rescue. We managed to find the victim and handed it over to a family member living in the Pasir Putih area," concluded Octavianto while closing the operation. [*]
